Hello, I’m Deacon Jack Alexander, and I’m excited to be helping out here at Queen of Apostles!
I began my work for the Church in 1994 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church at Iowa State University, where I earned my BA in Religious Studies. Later, I completed a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Studies from Loyola University in New Orleans. In 1998, I became Director of Liturgy at St. Alphonsus in Greendale, WI, and it was there that I was ordained a Deacon.
Not long after, I moved to Houston, where I served as Director of Liturgy for both St. Michael the Archangel and Christ the Redeemer parishes. A year into my time at Christ the Redeemer, I transitioned to Director of Adult Faith Formation, a role I held for ten years until my retirement.
My wife Kathy and I moved back to Wisconsin in August to be closer to our children, grandchildren, and other family members. Kathy spent about 15 years working at Methodist Hospital in Houston before retiring and also worked for the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin for about 10 years.
We’re grateful to be part of the Queen of Apostles community, and if you see us around, please feel free to stop and say hello — we’re looking forward to getting to know you!
